From this list I would say hunt, but for me desire comes first. I hate a dog that walks out of a race. Of course, hunt and desire go hand in hand. It takes desire for a dog to be a good jump dog, especially when they are tired and you want one more chase.

Hunt, then line control. Speed and winning are the results of line control, in my judging system and my system is the only thing that counts here.
Swinging will get them culled.

I see most people vote hunt but its obvious in todays dogs thats not what is important. A hunting dog is becoming a thing of the past! Hunt and heart is most important in my kennel.

Desire , Hunt, and Heart. I will not feed a dog that will walk out of any rabbit race. But man I sure no a crowd that will!

If a dog has desire, which aint a option. If a dog desires to please me he will hunt his ass off, thus he has brains . Line control is in the eyes of the owner. Some if not most dogs swing for various reason non being a lack of brains. More than likely it was too much pressure by older mates or big packing all the days long.Dogs are not born swinging ,dogs teach themselves how to swing. Also dont concentrate on this speed issue. I promise i can make a couple of crosses and get lighting speed without brains its as worthless as bad meat.Think about it.Desire

a lot of people call a dog that gets off the path and moves around a hunting dog and this is why we dont have hunting dogs around alot. they have to jump rabbits and alot of them, that is what concerns me the most.

To me, without BRAINS the rest means nothing. I've seen dogs that appear to hunt hard but never jump a rabbit.

If a dog won't hunt, it can't jump rabbits! And it can't eat my dog food!!
