It is with great sadness that I tell you of the death of Todd's Berrypatch Lyza. Her cancer had come back and I didn't want her to suffer so I put her down today.
She was out of some of the old Patch blood that is hard to come by these days. For those of you who had never seen her run, I can just say you missed seeing one hell of a dog. I'm not just saying this because she's gone. She was a darn nice hound and I will miss her in my kennel.

Wow, I forgot about that. Yes she did show those green dogs how to run a rabbit. I think she was 8 or 9 when we ran up there.

Sorry to hear this Chuck.
It sure stinks seeing them get old when you know what they once were.

Thanks guys, it was hard to put her down but harder to watch her get old especially when the cancer set in.
Randy I would definately take a pup out of her daughter. I was also going to post a question on who had any of her pupsthat were running and doing well.

Chuck,
Just reading this now and sorry to hear it. She was not only was a good dog but I heard she had many good pups. I love that classic bawl mouth that I am sure Max has gotten from her. I never saw her in her prime but I did see her in her later years and I will not forget her. I feel fortunate to have gotten a pup out of her.
