Anyone use frontline or ever saw a hound that had Frontline used on them had a reaction where they had big raw scabby sores come up on their face ? Thinking that's got to be whats doing it . Any input ?

i used frontline for 10 yrs without a problem . i once put a dose for 138 lb dog on a 25 lb beagle no problems but a yr ago in the spring frontline quit working the fleas will build up a amunity if you use it all the time. vet said to rotate it with other kinds. to keeep this from happening. i use k9 advantix 2 now. cost more and 2 weeks is all it will keep them off. what does most people use.

I had an English bulldog that had reactions to frontline. Her hair would fall out on her sides and they would get kinda scabby. I started spraying her once a week with ovatrol, I believe that's what it's called. It did a pretty good job.

Frontline near killed my beagle twice.

The first time we didn't know, the second time my stupid vet suggested just using a lower dose.

My lab handles it great, however if I use it on him my beagle still has a reaction though not as bad.

My beagle started off acting skitzo at first, she seemed terrified of everything. Then she started puking, then stopped eating for over ten days. It was scary. However she's fine now! And I switched brands.

I bath my Aussie in happy Jack shampoo every other week. Works wonders.

Copied my post from another topic:

Been using soresto collars for a few months. Used frontline for nearly a decade before that & don't ever wanna go back. They've got a $20 rebate with them now also & last 8 months. I love 'em. Here's a link.
