I cannot get the birds eye images to display on handheld. I can see them on basecamp and see them in the user files folder of alpha handheld unit ( on ad card with topo 100k). I downloaded 2 files with no issues after buying 1 yr subscript activating, and Fully updated unit. Everything else works great. Using it right now.
The collar barely fit my 14 3/4 male who weighs 20 pounds. any tricks to shorten?

Can't really help on the birds eye problem but to shorten the collar you can do 2 things. 1st you can just thread the collar through the receiver backwards, the way it's made that will get you a little bit. 2nd and biggest help is if you have the factory collars then look on the inside of the collar strap on the buckle end. There's 2 rows of rivets where the buckle is attached. If you take out the row farthest from the buckle and cut off the tag end as close to the first row of rivets as you can you should get nearly an inch on most of 'em. Good luck.

I have DC 30s and my dogs are 13 and less. To make them fit better I took some foam pipe insulation and attached it to the color between the transmitter and the antenna. I doubled it up on the inside of the color to make it thicker. I used electrical tape to attach it.

Have the same size issue with Sportdog collar. As stated earlier closed cell foam pipe insulation can be attached to the collars at appropriate locations. I use electrical ty wraps to hold it in place and have never had it come loose. I also painted the added pipe insulation with fluorescent orange paint to make the collar more visible.

Re: Alpha help
Thanks all! Birdseye working and collar strap shortened. I had to restore defaults to get map working and I decided to work on rivets to shorten collar!
This alpha is pretty nice, but with birds eye maps it's twice as nice! Not necessarily the most intuitive operation I've seen but they really put in a bunch of functionality!! I'll have to get more dogs to run or something!
Thanks again.

Glad it worked out well for ya. They are an awesome system but for the money, you definitely wanna be completely satisfied with every aspect of them. BTW if you need to replace a collar or add a collar to your system there are collars out there pre-made with the rivets out and the tag end shortened. Lion Country Supply makes one but for the money shortening them yourself is simple enough but I know some folks don't like the holes left from the rivets. Anyway, like I said, glad everything worked out.
