That sounds gross! Seriously, that just seems ridiculous. It seems to me that any digestive system would get all that is useful out of the feed the first time. Digestive systems are very efficient. I would think that a dog would expend more energy trying to get something out of it the second time than it would be worth. Besides, I'd think that it would encourage a dog to eat it fresh when he encounters it elsewhere, opening another whole can of worms (literally). I am interested to hear other comments, but with my limited knowledge, I can't see anything good about this. A good quality dry feed isn't that hard to digest. The cheap stuff may be another story. If you are feeding something that looks like twice as much came out as went in, change feeds. I feed Diamond and stools in my kennel are way reduced. And I'm sure not going to try to recycle it, not in my hounds nor on my tomatos, though I've heard of people doing that. I don't think I'd sit at their table and eat a baloney sammich, either!

Before you try it on your hounds do it yourself for a week or so and if it works for you then give it a shot with the dogs.

It sounds like someone is to tight to buy dog food.
If I ever get to a fork in the road during my Beagling journey, and one road sign says Feed Dried Up Droppings, and the other alternative is to Sell Out, as bad as I would hate to, I would sell out.
I would not put my hounds through that kind of crap.

Hello UNKNOWN GUEST,
No, actually I feed my dogs Diamond, and there droppings fall through the wire floor into hydrated lime, to keep the smell down. I don't think this would be very good to recycle.

Lynn Perkins' dogs have to listen to his voice. Does that count as eating doo doo? Poopy? Droppings? Puppy logs? Turds? etc.
