Dan, Change that 100 to a thousand! But at any rate there is no magic name or manufacturer that makes one better than the other, it is the ingredients . One can tout the attributes of their food of the moment all they want but ingredients don't lie ( at least not too much) and common sense should tell us that regardless of what name is on the package and what the numbers are, corn, rice, beet pulp, potatoes, beans, and such as main ingredients will not produce a good product regardless of who likes it and or who makes it. Here are the common names thrown around, Purina, Diamond, Black Gold, pride, Southern States, Science Hills, 4 Health, Victor, Etc; None of these are good foods there is not a pound of meat in an entire bag of any of them. There is a reason that there are dog foods on the market selling for two and three dollars a pound , they are not over-rated, over-priced foods, that is what meat costs! They are good feed and the only good feeds on the market and if you are paying less for your food you are getting an inferior food. There is not a good food on the market for $1 a pound, that is a fact. a good food will not produce a cup of crap from your dog in a week ! But we have to do what we have to do! if you ever start grinding deer up and feeding your dogs that everyday you will then know what I am talking about, until then we think our .50 cents a pound food is really doing the job, it isn't! lest any think I buy the $2 a pound food I do not , I try to supplement with ground meat everyday but when I run out of it and I occasionally do I feed the 50 cents a pound kind, but I don't try to fool myself into believing that I am feeding a good dog food!

I made the switch over to Pride and I'm liking it, i Dont feed the pro series but I do feed the 26/18 dark green bag and I'm happy with it!! If you over feed them though they will get fat quick and have a lot of stool. If you can figure out how much your dogs need then stool will be minimal and dogs will look good!! I can get a 50# bag for $21.50 and its a farmer so I Dont have to pay a corporate store!!

I feed black and orange bag of pride I only get to run once or twice a week cause of class and work. but my dogs look good and are not fat but they are not skinny either. I clean under my kennel once every two weeks regardless what I feed.
