2006 Ford f-150 Flaming fords.

Post by Mapel Valley Kennels LLC. »

Just thought i would let you blue oval boys know. On monday night i got a call from my owner telling me that a 2006 f-150 was a flamer on the lot by the time i got to it she was engulfed, total loss.I remembered that this aint the first one i have seen go up in flames. I called ford and they informed me sorry bout my truck  really? So i googled it and found 300 similar cases ford declined help with. The cruise control switch leaks on rh side and the rest as they say is History. If any of you boys own a 2000 to 2007 ford pickup truck call your local ford dealer with your vin number and ask if you have a open recalls on your truck. I just think its kinda shady that they call em flaming fords for a reason but however Ford denies any problem with em, its definetly worth the call.Jimbo.

Ford has been having a lot of recalls here of late. I will be buying a Chevy Duramax within 9 months. My two soon to be brother n laws have had tons of trouble with their fords. Both trucks are 3 years old and has been in the shop over a dozen of times.

Ya know Toyota is a good truck 22r is the best eng probaly ever massed produced, great fuel milage however Toyota found out real quick with Big Boy Horsepower means worse milage thus putting themselves in a trick bag. My thought is there is no substitute for Cubic Inches. These days all 4 manufactors have impressive numbers.

I have never had any mechanical problem with my Tundra, only a few bad radios but nothing to serious. I like my Tundra, just wish it had more Torque. When I am pulling a trailer for our catering business and I have a full trailer of food and drinks, tables and chairs I can feel the trailer behind me. My truck feels like its on its last leg. I feel like the trailer is pulling my truck and not the other way around.

The only power I feel I am getting from is the RPM. On a lighter note, the truck is fast!!!!

I'm a Chevy man and never owned a ford or anything else for that matter. I heard that FORD trucks have or had a problem with plugs blowing right out of the block threads and all!
