Woodcock in Ohio

Anyone else kicking up a lot of woodcock I've kicked up at least five or more every time out in different places never seen so many, might have to get me some this year.Or maybe their just passing through?

They are going back north with the moon. When that moon changes to a new moon you wont see any here in Ohio.

I don't ever remember seeing many at all where i live here in Mo growing up. The last 5 years or so It's like a steady population climb. This year it seems to be a boom and they are everywhere.

I see em pretty much all year long. Bout gives me a heart attack when im runnin dogs at night during the summer. I have been seeing alot over the past three or four years. I cant stand em i always give the ones i harvest to my dad, they taste like liver to me....yuck
