I have a younger male that poops and pees in his house quite often. Is there a way to break a dog from doing this?

the box is too big.make the box smaller and he'll quit.ive had a few that would do the same thing and this has worked for me.

I did the same as hcap and broke 1 out of 3 other ones went to someone else won't stand for it. I also tried closing the box off completely and letting the sleep outside on a mat in the summertime they wouldn't poop on mat as soon as I let them back in box that was hardly big enough for them to turn around they pooped in the box again

Same as above, it is frustrating and I won't keep them.

Not to make excuses but I had one female that started doing that....changed the food and hasn't happened again.

I do not have to sleep in their dog box so it does not bother me. I do not kiss them either so if they eat crap It is not a problem to me. Never seen a bitch that did not clean up after her pups. I will cull for a lot of running faults ,but I am not going to get rid of a good hound because it craps in it's box.

Try removing the waste from the box and put it in the kennel where you want then to do their business. They generally want to crap where they have already taken a crap and make a habit going in that same spot.
