I lost a dog a while back. I found him dead with his bell still on his collar. Dont know for sure a coyote done it but where he was running is covered up with them.

Re: bells
I run with bells . I started using them for location and coyote deterrent. Ive heard it doesnt keep coyotes away but i feel more comfortable with them. I use a garmin too, but if Im only running a couple of dogs and i hear 2 bells near me I dont need to keep pulling the handheld out of my pocket to see where they are.
