Dog food

Post by Don »

Have one dog who's been having some health issues. Mainly ear infections. Also notice coat is not as thick and shiny as usual. Was thinking she may be allergic to something in the feed, who knows. I have been trying to find a good feed at a reasonable price anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions. Just bought a bag of Kirkland's lamb. Was a little leary due to the recall on some of their food this past summer but some of the reviews on line rated as an above average kibble. Thanks!

I myself have been feeding Purina Pro Plan. Seems to work good. If you look in the right places you can find coupons. Also at pet stores like pet supplies plus, and pet smart you can find good sales. I just picked up 2 38.5 pound bags for $48

You can try the cheaper lamb based foods they may work, but more than likely you'll have to buy the more expensive foods in a protein source the dog has never ate. Also stay away from corn in any form and wheat and soy. I fed Holistic Select Anchovy and Sardine with good results, the food saved me from the vet bill's so I figured it was worth it. Not to mention how much better off the dog was.
