Dad and I was running our dogs today on some public land, and when we got home my dog was very sick he was fine when we loaded them all up and left for home. It was like he got into some poison or something, the other two dogs were fine, I took him to the vet and she confirmed it was a poison but what. I heard of some poison that the ODNR puts out for coyotes but don't know if they do or not. They drank plenty of water and was fine when we left. He passed away while at the Vet, the other two have no symptoms at all.

I have a dog who I believe is hyperglycemic. He's on a good diet, wormer regulary, and in shape. But has seizures sporadically with no definite pattern. But as long as I give him a table spoon of peanut butter daily he doesn't seem to have an episode...

Any standing water around?
There was an article in Michigan Outdoor news about blue-green algea and how it was toxic for dogs.
The dogs can show symptoms anywhere from 30 minutes on up.

Man O Man, this brings back bad memories. My beagle was piosoned by anti-freeze several years ago. Vet opened him up after he died and found over 100 cc inside him. According to F&G people, deer parts are left in the woods that are soaked in anti-freeze, and to make sure the job is complete they leave a bowl of it there too. Completely illeagal and shows no consideration for other animals. Getting rid of coyotes is a good thing, but not at the cost of other animals.
