best public place to train pups

best public place to train pups

Hey guys, can anyone tell me were the best place to train some new pups near Zanesville Ohio would be. I got some new pups and want them to see alot of rabbits. Thanks guys.

your in "the heart" of beagle country out there. find a club (there has to be one close to you i would think) and join it. the clubs all seem to have great running because they manage for the rabbits.

Not sure if u are allowed in Ohio but county parks work great here. Also I know a lot of people in Ohio that train in industrial parks.

Probably not legal, but when I still had my hawks, I would often take them down along the railroad tracks. Excellent hunting. We'd routinely end up in people's backyards though (this was in town) and the few people we actually saw were so fascinated by it that they didn't care. I'm not sure they'd react the same way to dogs, though...

I did take my first redtail to an industrial park and ended up killing a rabbit right next to a pet cremation place. That was a little awkward.

Go to google maps and use the satellite view to find places that look like they have overgrown brush. Old industrial parts and railroads are good but be careful about trains and rabbits going places people do not want your dogs. Also asking beagler in your area works. Some will share there spots with you.

lonewolf , where are you at . Zanesville here . send me a pm sometime , maybe we can get together and do some runnin , dont have any pups right now but i doo have a couple spots to start them
