In peoples opinion what is the best dog food for beagles at this point? I have noticed alot of different topics regarding dog food so thought i would get a area for everyone to give their opinion!! Please tell what you used to feed and why you switched and what differences you have noticed since switching and local price per bag!! Thanks

Said it once and i will say it again southern states 24/20 19.99 for 40 pounds.

Just switched away from BlackGold, saw a change in my dogs coats, a very noticeable change.

After much research I went with Purina Pro Plan Performance. Already seeing benefits, shiny oats, awesome energy. You get what you pay for IMO.

I fed Green bag Diamond and Black bag Sportmix for several years, to beagles and coon hounds. Both were good at one time, but are not the same feed any longer. For the last year, I have fed the PRO SERIES PRIDE, green bag in the summer and orange bag in the cooler months. Best feed I have found in a long time, chicken and rice are the first two ingredients.

In the past i have used BlackGold, Diamond and Sportsmix. I quit diamond because of quality issues and i quit BlackGold and Sportsmix because everytime the wind changed it seemed to be an excuse to raise the price. I currently feed HIStandard. I feed the 26-18 and also use their puppy formula. Puppy is like $27 or $28 for a 40# bag and the 26-18 is like $24 for 50# bag.

Diamond Naturals seems to work best for my hounds. In the summer i feed beef and rice and during rabbit season I feed extreme athlete to keep their weight on. They do well on it and the price is fair.

Same here. Southern states 24/20 is hard to beat for 17.99 a bag

I used to feed Blackgold but switched to Purina pro plan it costs lot more but you pay for what you get and dogs love it glad i switched done tried the rest now just feed them the best imo .
