PA Youth Hunt, 10/06/12

Did anyone get out for the PA Youth Hunt yesterday?
I took my boys out to a local bunny spot to avoid all the guys that were out after pheasant. We were supposed to take one of my sons' friends, too, but he wasn't able to go as they were prepping for a birthday party that evening.
It was unseasonably cold (a good thing) and drizzling in the morning. The dogs got into bunny-stink right away. We ended up w/ five great runs having multiple circles, and three or four short choppy runs. Both of my sons had some pretty good opportunities for kills, but we had some misses and only came away w/ one rabbit. We had a blast, however, and the drizzle passed leaving us w/ a cool sunny day. We didn't see another hunter. The dogs did pretty good considering I was only able to get them out one or two times per week over the last month and a half.
I was impressed w/ my boys' concern for safety and gun-handling, too.
It ended up being a great day in the woods w/ my sons.
Anyone else get to take some kids out?
