Here in Evart, Mi. its bone dry and the heat index will be over 100.
The dogs kick up dust clouds when they run rabbits.
This is the worst I can remember in 12 yrs living here.

Lone pine its not much better in southern MD instead of weeds moving to find out were the dogs are at now i look for a cloud of dust.Running has been shitty my best dog is having trouble running a rabbit looks like he never ran a rabbit before..Makes you not even want to go out but i still do time and time again waiting for that good chase.

we need to start up a trial and call it the dust bowl of beagles. we have not seen rain in 40 days. today its gonna be 100, the heat index 115.

It's the same here in Sothern MI hot & dry as a bone. I've got young dogs just started and pups that need started, running dogs that need ran and I just can't get motivated in this heat to go out and when I do get out I wish I would've just stayed home because the running sucks.

We been doing alright running here considering the weather. Been getting out before sun up and quitin' no later then 9:00 AM. It's dry though that's for sure.We got lucky and had a couple stray showers come thru in the last 10 days, more than some can say but you wouldn't know it by looking at the ground.

Very hot, very dry, and everything in between.

This is just plain bad. I am 2 mi. from lake Michigan and it is still hot. Not quite as bad as inland but still bad. Everything is drying up ferns are going brown rasberries turning brown and dropping leaves just plain bad. I cant remember a summer this dry or hot , have puppies 1 week old and I have a fan on them which a first for me never had to do this before. I have done a little running been hitting young rabbits thank goodness but running has sucked if it goes over 10 min it is a suprise. All of us in Michigan that had a Nice Easy winter we are having to pay for it now. IT SUCKS!!

Its been raining every day here in East TN for over a week. We had a week of over a hundred degree temperatures a couple weeks back and the lawn turned brow and crackled when I walked on it. Now it is as green as it was in early spring. It just came another thunder shower a few minutes ago.

Got a trial tonight and it's going to be 98 when the deadline closes with the heat index 92 without. It's getting pretty windy and is suppose to rain I sure hope it gets here just before we cast our dogs...I'm gonna say this will be a donation to PKC,LOL....Oh well I'll bet I have a blast doing it!!!!!

I let my dogs out in a heat burnt field last night and i was wearing thick sandals and the crass was literally hurting my feet to walk on.. Sure feel sorry for the farmers this year.. And our tax dollars when the farms don't produce!!

To hot. Pretty much holed up in house, just go out when neccesary. Spendin way to much time on this 'puter.

It's smoking hot here in N.C too. 98 for Wed. but cooling down to the high 80s by the weekend. All we can do is keep the weight off and give them a little Exercise.

Its 90 degrees in the house, but we had a random rain shower today that helped alot!
