Just thought i would ask whats your oppinion on this subject. I see a lot of post on different boards about someones dog that has died and most all will say he is now running rabbit's in heaven or something to this nature. Personaly i don't believe good dogs go any where but too turn to dust like the bad dogs do. If there is a doggy heaven then what about cat's and chicken and horses, are there heaven's for them too ? Wouldn't it be putting a animal on the same level as man to believe a dog goes to heaven. Wouldn't it be un-fair to a human that has to prepare himself for heaven but a dog get's a free pass.

Ya know my dad passed Feb 19 1984. needless to say it was a terrible time as i was just really becoming a man and stayed in my dads pocket till he passed. We had a German Sheppard named Tip about a week after dad left us we found Tip Dead at my dad truck he was 9 aand healthy as he could be.Guess he mourned himself to death. So yea i do think animals have a place in the big scheme of things. At least i hope they do.Rip Dad.

Yes, but only to replentish the earth after the flood so there would be food for man by their off spring

Saltzer, I am assuming you asked this question seriously. I see others think it is funny or ridiculous. There are many bible experts on this board who could do better than me, but I can't find anywhere where a dog's soul is mentioned. There will be no dogs is heaven. Noah took animals on the ark but I can't find where they were to be with him in heaven.

Well If animals did have a soul some would be in hell... The sacrificial lambs used for offering in the ot and all the other sacrificed animals. But the whole point of them was to spare someone from hell not send something there.

Man was mad in gods image and is eternal (according to scripture) but animals are more like pawns but need to be treated right.. Balaams donkey is a case in point. Too much tv theology going on for people who think dogs are there.... Maybe they are heck I don't know but if they are then a diffrent god than the one is the bible is running the show...

Saltzer, There are no dogs in heaven. But not to worry , Man somehow has come to the conclusion he will be spending his time in Heaven after he dies. This is not correct . Heaven is the dwelling place of God and his Holy Angels, It was their residence long before Man was created, it was never intended to be the permanent residence of Human Beings. ( though we will be visitors for a short time) As saved Human Beings you will spend eternity on Earth ( Albeit a new Earth) God would not allow dogs to live in Heaven and neither will we live there. This is an easy one.

Mo Beagler 5000, I agree with some of your points but the sacrifice of Lambs and other animals was not so that their blood could spare Humans from Hell. You and I are not saved by the blood of Bullocks and Lambs and neither were our ancestors. We are all saved by exactly the same thing and that is by the blood of Jesus. We are saved by looking back to the Cross and the old Testament Saints were saved looking forward to the Cross! It is only by the blood of Jesus that any are saved!

Ya know my little girl just read this biblical post. We still believe in Santa Claus in our house, ya got to believe in something . Life ain't so black and white.

I sure have had a few dogs that should be in heaven and maybe if I make it there one day - I'll log in a report back on this thread.

As i grew up i always had a liking for dogs. i have lost my share of them but i never believed any of them went to be with God. There are a lot of people today that are calling their pet's their children and they buy them the costlest dog food they can find and when old Fido get's old with cancer they will spend their bank account for a operation. I believe that is the reason the vet bills and dog food are so high is because of these silly old rich women that are carrying their poodles and picka poos around on their necks. I believe before long if people believe that animals go to heaven they will start worshiping them. They already do in some countries like India.
