This boy loves his dogs

A couple of neat pictures that I thought you folks might enjoy. They make me remember what its all about.
This is my youngest son John with two of his best buddies, Apache and Zulu. John has Down Syndrome and I can tell you without a doubt that I have never seen a kid bond with dogs like he does. My older boys have always been good with the dogs, but not like John. Now that school is out for summer he spends every waking minute out back with the dogs. The wife has to fight to get him to come inside and eat.
The neat thing is how the dogs respond to him. My Apache dog used to be one of those one man dogs that we are all familiar with. Nobody but me can even lay a hand on this dog, at least until John came around. Even my oldest son who feeds him every day can't get too close to him. He's just a shy dog. But John is his buddy and he is very protective of him.
