as some of you know i now own to good males out of IFC HAUNTED HILL SHAKER/ and IFC STONEY HILLS TAMARACK. both these dogs are quality males ia gonna breed two bitches from bjs fudd to my grch timber talkin raidar and i have two bitches out of raidar to breed to fudd. these males are brothers . so doubleing up heavey on to ifc dogs. the two females out of raidar are allready line bred we bred him to his grand daughter and to his daughter. as you can tell i like this blood. do ya think it is a good cross . just wondered.

If the dogs suit you in all the necessary areas I say breed what you like. You can find an "outcross" on a hound with similar traits to your pups later on. You won't know if you can add more of what you like unless you try. Good luck!

Scott, You have not provided enough information for anyone to give an informed opinion . Unless I read your question wrong , I am assuming you are breeding Uncle to Niece, this in itself is not a problem, but seems to be the only information we have. I have to assume that Radar and Fudd are out of Shaker and Tamarak as you really weren't clear on that but it seems to be the case. How about their running styles, faults, strong points and so forth, these should be the #1 determining factors, and not that they are strongly linebred.

Can't go wrong doubling up on Shaker blood!

yes the males iam talking about are exceptional hounds . and are brothers . proven in the field and in the trials both very acomplished trial dogs.and gun dogs and both have produced offspring placing in akc and arha. so iam going to line breed offspring of each male to the other niece to uncle but the parents of these males were both IFC HOUNDS . theses are really what iam trying to double up on . just wondered if my thinking this would be a good way to lock in the traits i like out of blood. hope this is enough info, thanks for the opinions. and yes both males are directly out of IFC hauntedhill shaker and IFC stoneyhills tamarack.

One of the females is out of Radar bred to his daughter, then this female will be bred to Fudd?
87.5 %
That's pretty tight.

IFC Beaver Creek Blue Max is also 87.5% and has done very well.

If the bitches have the same trait as the males that you are trying to lock in then I would say good cross
