Well I finally had some nice pics taken of my derby hound. He sure has made me prob for the first beagle I bought. I now own three and am sure loving the sport. I had coon and coyote hounds all my life and one beagle way back in HS. This is my first year truly running good beagles though. I sold out of the coyote and coon hounds when I moved away from my home town and to my new house this past August.
Gauge the dog pictured was the first one I bought and he is my Derby dog fro this year. He is currently the hight points hound in the PBGA consitency and leading his class. The run off is in a few weeks so hopefully he can finish out strong. Unfortunately a I see a lot of weekend work in my future and not any time to get him to the last three trials. He probably going to have to win the run off or place high in it to finish out if the dog in second makes it to all three of the last derbies which I am sure he will.
Anyway I had some engagement pics taken ( a year and a few months late lol) and I figured I would share some since he is in them. I am going to offer him up for stud next year for two people mostly likely for free just to see what he throws. He will have tri-tris with ticking and blue ticks if his bloodlines stay true.
Yo Frank! Am I gonna see you this weekend at West Branch? I was hoping to get to see him go...

I wish I could make it but I have work Andy I was defiantly planning on it. I am hoping I can find someone to take him up, or I am going to make him lose the consistency instead of him doing it for a lack of ability. He has only been in a few trails this whole year. WAY WAY less then he should have been. He is ready to win in licensed trials also. He is a pretty darn good dog. If I had the time to make it to them I could only imagine what his score would be. Hopefully you will get to see him go this weekend, but I would say there is a slim to none chance unless I can find someone to take him. Since I am new to the sport I dont know many people so I doubt it.
Are you going up to the run off you can defiantly get to see him run there?
I'll be at the run off. I don't know of anyone from out that way that is coming for sure this weekend, but I'll ask around and if we can get him out this way we will. You are leading by 3 points!! I know the Rush dog will be there. If ya want and can get him to me, I'll run him at Lykens and Lycoming for you...

Ya I am going to attempt to still get off for Lykens and Lycoming I really doubt I will, but you never know if I dont I will bring him up to you and you can run him. Ya I know Rush will be at every trial left he has gone to everyone one this year but maybe a few.
