Had one coughing about a month ago, now my older male Rifle is coughing. It is contagious and just has to run its' course. Antibiotics will help.

If they are already coughing and are with the other dogs more than likely the other dogs have already got it to, the symptoms just ain't showing yet, probably to late to seperate them now. Usualy takes about 2 weeks for it to clear up.

Pollen is more than likley what it is but if it is kennel cough it will just have to run it's course just like a cold. Antibiotics or cough suppresant may ease the symptons but it doesn't cure it

Had it one time...spread like wildfire, even the house dogs who don't go near the beagles got it. Figured my neighbor thought I went from raising beagles to raising geese....nasty sounding stuff but relatively harmless after a few weeks.

You can still run dogs! Also there is a shot from the vet you can get that is supposed to keep the dogs from getting it in the future!! I wouldn't run dogs with someone that their dogs don't have it though or they will get it!! Also after it finishes it course clean out the kennels with bleach water!! Just like others said its about a 14 day course and not much you can do but deal with it!!

isn't the 7way shot suppose to cover this? I give all my hounds a 7-way once a year.
