I used them last year, and they work. I am also nervous about so much chemical on my little hounds. I want to try something else this year.

Just watch your dogs after you put them on. I had female that didn't react well with them, the rest were OK. I quit using them.

I use the purple tags and have been using them for 3--4 years now with no problems at all. I fold them over and clamp them together with the tool that you put them in the cattles ear and slid them over the dog collars. I use the hold tag. They are said to be good for 6 months but I change mine at 3 months. A box of 20 for $30 and so far no fleas or ticks on the dogs. And like grayboy I put the unused ones in a zip lock bag but I don't put mine in the fridge but I don't guess that would hurt but they are setting on the shelf in the store.

I've got them on a 8 month old right now. The only thing i can tell you is that my Dad has used these for years and told me to start using them last year and noticed a big difference. I just wouldnt put them on a dog that is a pet that little kids my come into contact with. This is an Insectacide on the collar.
