I just bend mine over and use the tool that you put them in the cattle's ear with and clamp them together and slid them over the collar. They say they are good for 6 omnths but I change mine about every 3 months.

Exactly what I do

Frontline works!!!!!! You just won't have ticks on your dogs.

I use frontline every year and have already applied it this year, but I still get occational embeded ticks that die. I apply the premtharin spray prior to running weekly as well. I also apply seven dust to the cedar chips. My dogs are all on Ivermectin.

The steps necessary are dependant on the severity of ticks.

While in Michigan seven dust, cedar bedding and Ivermectic heart worm preventative was all I needed. In Kentucky I have to use everything available but I don't have ticks.

On a different note.......I wonder what effect all these pesticides have on the dogs?

Y-Tex Python Cow tags must be purple and must come in a aluminum package. Put them on the collar and forget about it for 3-5 months.

Frontline here too, buy it on ebay for large dogs and make big bottle of it and then give proper dose to the dogs. Much cheaper that way.

Frontline here as well. Ivermectin too. Been successful so far but this will certainly be the year to test it.
