Thinking of getting this e-collar system.
Would like to hear comments from anyone who has it, likes/dislikes.
Thanks,

I own it. I love it.
Great range
Quick charge time
Nice docking station for each coller
Light weight
Small size remote, easy to carry
Beep feature for all 6 collars
Etc.....
I recommend one.

I have had several systems over the years, and bought the 3225 when it first came out and I love mine. Small collars, small transmitter, quick charge & long lasting, If it were lost or stolen, I would buy the same thing again.

I agree with everything above and don't forget about the vibration feature on the collars and excellent customer service. One collar did not vibrate like the others so I called and they said they would ship a new one right out, had it in two days.

swampman if you get one let me know if theres a way to put the marshalls on the 3/4 collar, thats all thats stopping me from getting the sd 3225
Re: SportDOG SD-3225 Hound Hunter
mjd,
I plan on running two collars since the strap is just 3/4" wide.
I have Dogtra collars now and really like them, but I have a young female that beats her right front leg to a pulp on the receiver.
TT's are the same size as the Dogtra but the SD-3225 is much smaller so I'm hoping it won't damage her leg.
Plus I can add up to 6 collars when I want.
Just off the top of my head, you could use a hole punch to cut half moon holes on the edges of the 3/4" wide SD-3225 collar that line up with the center lines of the Marshall mounting screws (the Marshall screws appear to be on a 3/4" centerline, you could use the Marshall collar as a pattern for the holes) then cut the 1" wide Marshall collar off about 2" longer than the Marshall transmitter (1" per side). Sandwich the 3/4" wide SD-3225 collar between the Marshall transmitter and the short piece of the 1" wide Marshall collar that you cut off and hole punch and rivet about a 1/2" from each end (1" overhang at each end) of the short 1" wide Marshall piece to the 3/4" SD-3226 collar. You may need slightly longer screws to attach two collar thicknesses to the transmitter and use name tag rivets on the ends.

Re: SportDOG SD-3225 Hound Hunter
Well, I bit the bullet last week and purchased the SportDOG Houndhunter 3225.
I really like it, small size, I have the hounds reacting to the beep feature after just two days.
My problem however is still there, the unit is still big enough to beat the h*ll out of her leg. The unit, just like the Dogtra, always shifts to the side and that is the leg that gets beat up.
Does anyone know how to keep it centered with her chest?

Are u sure it's the unit and not the end of the strap. I had this problem and thought it was the unit only to find out I needed to shorten the strap.
Re: SportDOG SD-3225 Hound Hunter
Positive, the first thing I did was shorten the strap when I got them.
They are just long enough to go 1" to 2" inches through the buckle, the end of the strap doesn't even reach the receiver.

Re: SportDOG SD-3225 Hound Hunter
I have the same concerns only mine are with the DC 40 , they seem to rotate up like you describe, I think if the collar sits lower on the neck they are less likely to hit it. Do you put your E-collar behind the ears? Try it closer to the shoulder instead. It looks to me like with the head down and the dog running they are about touching their nose with their paws, seems like it would be easy to hit an e-collar or dc40 especially on a small framed dog. One other thing I notice is my small dogs seem to shake themselves alot with the collars on, almost makes me wonder if that's keeping it up out of the way.
