did anyone out there get to see h and k rudys jr in a trial or under the gun? i got a bitch off him and havent made up my mind vwhat cross to make advice anyone. and how did jr hunt and run???? thanKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JR was a hard hunting dog that ran a rabbit with control and pressure. Good lookin houndy 15" black n tan. Huge mouth that was used right. His sister tramp was the best dog I've ever seen run a rabbit.

thanks for the info. thats pretty much what farrell smith said about him when i bought her.and i havnt herd much about tramp. bad news for me fannie the female out of jr ran up with a pack of cyotes or something she is gone. is it true jr got hit by car? and how can i get this blood line BACK or what would you try ifn you was in my shoes?

JR got hit by a car several years ago. I saw JR run quite a bit and he was a great dog.. He had great hunt and was a good jump dog. He was an extremely level headed hound. JR wasnt all that fast but he could run a rabbit well enough that he could still run the front on most dogs (hope that makes sense).. JR was a great allround hound that was usually the "hound to beat" at most hunts.

IMHO, Tramp was a better hound. I conditioned Tramp for Farrell for a couple months back in 2000 and she was possibly the best allround dog I've seen..

H&K Rock-n-Roll Preacher was directly out of JR (not sure if he is still alive). Mark Harmon owned him last I heard. His running style was the closest I have seen to JR out of all the JR pups Ive seen. To be honest, most dogs out of JR , that I saw, didnt resesmble JR in their running and hunting. Preacher did.
