The best food I ever fed was down right expensive, but the dogs crapped less and the stools were solid. They looked awesome one it, but just to expensive. Probably the best food you can feed to a pup from 8wks old to 6 months.

Purina Pro Plan Performance Blend.

I agree 110%... but 40 bucks for a 35lb bag is just crazy

I use EaglePack, Very good food. All Human grade ingredients no fillers. I buy it in the fifty lb bags. 36 dollars per 50lbs, and have had great results with it.

I feed Black Gold (black bag) $24.95 50# bag.
Dogs look good on it , have plenty of energy and there is not a lot of waste. That is also what I feed my pups when I wean them and they do great on it also so I don't have to buy any puppy chow.

through my 25+ years of field trialing walkers i have fed alot of different ones. i field trialed on Rex / Tops for several years and had to watch hounds as they would get to fat, about 6 months ago went to having probelms with it and switched off of it. Looked at some walkers this past weekend and they are still having the same problem with that feed, hounds look great standing in pen you run them and they will gant up and looked drained. Sportmix is pretty good feed, Sportsman Pride: very good Joy was good feed just hard to locate have not fed it in many years, for the last 8 months i have been feeding Diamond Premium 26/18 and have satisified with it, the 24/20 when i fed my walkers would never hold the weight on hounds when being run hard in pens but i ahve not fed it in 5-6 years.

Ive tried almost everything. I agree sexton bros is not good at all. After all these yrs of beagling I like southern states 24/20 chicken and rice. 40 lbs and with coupon it is 14.99 a bag. Dogs do great on it and the mess is firm and just a stool or two a day per dog. I feed 1 cup a day, in and out of season, cold and warm weather. Good feed, good price, good results.

I agree
I think that Southern States has some of the best dog food on the market.
Ranks up there with the Diamond and the Purina but a lot cheaper.
