Kennel Barking (HELP)..........

Post by LoneWolf2010 »

Hello I have three males Dasher Dodger (11 months old) and HurrUp BrushAxes Trigger (11 years old), I got Trigger a week ago of the board here and he has the best Kennel Manners. The other two not so much, but Dasher is my worst one he likes to bark all the time. My question is how can i teach him to only bark when in the field.. Any help would be great .Image

what worked for me was water. spray em down with the hose or throw a pitcher of water at him when you hear him start barking. It worked for me.

I have stopped mine from barking by using the no-bark collars but you can't leave them on too long at a time because the collar will make a sore on the dog's neck but they did work for me.

just throw a cup of water in his face when he starts barking , while telling him quiet , he will figure it out real quick

same here with the water hose.you have to stay on them.dont let them get by with it.my brother uses his hat.for some reason they dont like a hat raised at them and yelled at.they will run right in the box if they see the hat come of his head.but i have had good luck with the water.

Old Trigger looks like he is fitting right in there.Yeah they don't like the hat that's for sure, but the water hose
is the way to go.Like my brother said you can't let em get away with it or it won't work stay on him and he will
figure it out real quick like you don't want him to do it.We live in the city here so we can't have kennel barkers
heck if i lived in the country i still couldn't stand for it to go on.Keep on him and keep in touch.Frank

I live in a development and keep dogs in my yard without any problems. Use your regular shock collars, every time they bark shock them on the lowest setting and intensify if needed. In a few days you can take the collars off and not have any problems, or atleast I don't. My dogs never bark unless they are in the field. Works for me!

uSE THE SHOCK COLLAR, any time you can carry it with you around your house, and when they start , let them have it low then go higher if needed

I have used the shock collar in the past and it has worked.

Be careful with the water hose treatment, someone may threaten to cut your hands off!

I have used the water hose and my e-collars and both methods worked great. When they see you pick up the hose they head toward the dog house but the no-bark collar took care of them when I was not home. I live in the city also and can't afford to have a barking dog. It doesn't take them long to learn.

If you use an ecollar or no-bark collar, make sure there is only one dog in the pen. If you have more than one together the dog that gets shocked thinks it is from the other dog and then a fight will occur.
