got a few quick questions fellas. just checked my female this evening and she is straining pretty good in the box. i suspect tonight is the night. inside temp on the box is 80 degrees right now, temps are falling tonight so ive got the heat lamp ready to kick back on but im curious what i should be looking for as far as her having problems and should call a vet? i know to give her a chance to clean the pup off first and ive got towels and stuff up there to clean up mess and such im just worried about her... any help what to watch for would be great.. thanks..

well i guess mother nature answered my questions lol.. she's spit out three pups within about 30 minutes.. two of them at the same time. she's doing a good job with them so far..

its alway exciting having a new litter.

thats an understatement lol... im definitely having a blast though... up to seven right now.

you said it let mother nature run its course when ever possible. congrats on new pups. how many did you end up with?

9 if my eyes were fast enough this morning lol. she had 8 as of 930 last night and i went to the house and i checked on her this morning and my wife counted 9. all kicking and screaming pretty good. im keeping my fingers crossed they all live and are healthy now.. this was her first litter too at 4 yrs old. i was banking on 5-6, 9 is alittle more then i expected lol.. but ill take em!!

Congrats and good luck with your new litter of pups! There is nothing cuter than beagle pups! Looks and sounds like your "first time momma" will be a good one!

thanks..... BC, i was looking for a runt in the bunch too and couldnt find one. they are all about the same size. i havent checked to see how many males and females i have yet either.. gonna give it a day or two more before i start messing with them. momma is doing a great job with them. im super proud of her!!!
