This was a great day of hunting on Fort Knox. This was the first time two of the three younger boys had ever hunted over beagles..They Loved it...! Thats me in the middle with the big melon head, the dog I'm holding is my Dingus breed Male THUNDER, he really stepped up today, I was proud of him.

Thanks guys for the commits...Thunder has also started retrieving some too, which is really cool to me..he caught a wounded rabbit on this hunt and brought it right to my feet, thats three for him this year so maybe he will keep it up..hope so'.

Looks like you and the boys had a good day Paul. I was stationed at Ft. Knox and just wanted to know which hilltop you hunted. Agony, Misery or Heartbreak? LOL
To old to cut the mustard, you can always run beagles

Do you have to get some kind of pass to hunt Fort Knox? If so how do you go about it?

Thanks thornie, and as deep as the mud was today it felt like I was hunting in all three of those places! lol..Thats alright because there was rabbits there so you tend to forget about the 5lbs of mud stuck to your boots. And 502, yes you do have to buy a small game permit to hunt Fort Knox, $14 for the whole season, you just have to check in at the hunt control office each time before ya hunt..everyone who hunts there is also required to have there hunter saftey course.
