can you register a litter of pup from 2 akc dogs if only one dog is in your name,,,,,,but i own both dogs just havent transfered the males papers in my name,,,,,,,,,,

pretty sure u gonna have to register it in ur name 1st.. i sent u an email on the patch u got for sale did u get it?

I'm pretty sure you just have to have the female in your name. Lots of people take their females to stud dogs that they don't own.

You will have to have the owner of the male at the time of the mating sign AKC only cares who the dog is registered to at the time..

You're not the registered owner if he's not in your name. At least that's the way AKC sees it.

If you send in his paper work now, and the tranfer paper verifies that you got the dog before the breeding, then you shouldn't need the previous owners signature. But the AKC will have to have that transfer paper before you register the litter.
