Hey folks, I am new to the boards and I just wanted to stop in and say hey. I look forward to learning a lot about beagles from all of the great information posted on this site.
I have a quick starter question, I just purchased 2 male pups. They were 3 weeks old last week, when is the normal age to bring them home? I have heard everything from 6-12 weeks. I just want to make sure I am doing this the right way. Thanks!

6-8 is fine in most cases, especially since you are getting 2. Makes there transition easier from my experience, they don't tend to be so vocal from the loss of there momma and mates. Welcome aboard, bunch of guys with a ton of knowledge on many, many topics!!!

Welcome to the board! I would say most breeders let the pups go around 8 weeks old

Thanks for the welcome. I was just curious about the time period, because I pick them up at 6 weeks old. I wanted to make sure that was ok. So many people have such varying opinions.

My opinion is that no matter what age from 7 to 12 wks, make sure they are current on their puppy vaccines and records to prove it. Parvo is a ruthless killer. Vaccines are a cheap insurance policy to protect your investment.
