My son's first buck, with pics.

Post by BCBeagles »

My seven year old, Brody, got this buck we called "the angry 5"(he loved to fight with the other bucks) tonight at 143 yards. He missed him last Saturday, but got redemption tonight! :D I love sharing the outdoors with my children!

I shot a big doe just a few minutes after Brody got his. Deer season is officially over for the Hall's!! Meat in the freezer and memories forever! Good hunting to all!!Image

What's priceless is that BIG smile on that seven year old boys face. That angry 5 will be forever mounted in his mind for life. ;) My cousins 11 year old grandson got his first deer this year and it was a nice bodied, 175 pound field dressed, 8 pointer with about half the tines broken off. Not much of a rack but I will do a European mount on it and give it to him for Christmas.

Remington 700 BDL, Laminate stock, Stainless Mountain Rifle in 7mm-08. A nice little deer killer that cuts holes when we sight it in. So far it is 5 for 5. Super accurate, easy to shoot caliber. Him and my daughter both shoot it with very good results! :D
