Losing my old friend last night has reminded me about all of the roads once traveled. In the days when field trialing was fun and we chased points with a trailer full of beagles. We knew everyone and every dog entered in the trial and had respect for the breed and the sport. It was more about friendship and enjoying the beautiful sound of a hound taking a check after a long period of silence or the sound of a pack of beagles in hot pursuit of a rabbit running for his life. We all shook hands and smiled whether we won of lost and then headed to the clubhouse to laugh and tell stories about hounds of the past. I was proud to take my kids to events where they would see and learn what sportsmanship was all about. Dinky was the end of that era for me and the last of the original 4 hounds that helped make these memories. Cindy Lou, Abby, RJ, and now Dinky are all gone but I will never forget the all of the friends I have made while watching them run….

Sorry about your dog . The old Branko bloodlines have influenced many great hounds . I hate to see them fade
away .

Paul and Bobbie, Sorry to hear aboy Dinky, he was a real hound. I remember when he won at Sod, I ran against him two rounds and he really put on a show.
I also remember the time I came up and brought two young hounds to run. You said I'll run this old female Cindy, she can't do anything. Then you laughed as she took those young dogs to school. They were all some top notch hounds. I hate Dinky is gone,it is always harder to lose the good ones. Take Care,God Bless,MIke.
