I've been thinking about getting back into field trialing. I thought I would start with a Poll.

I think the certification tests that PP Grands and Champs must pass are a good way to assure you are promoting a rabbit dog.

How about AKC, International Field Champion (IFC).

I run arha LP and UKC and plan to run some AKC SPO in the future. Although I do not run the ARHA Progressive Pack format, I have more respect for their Champs and Grand Champions because they have to jump and circle their own rabbit and they are shot over. That is the true test of a dog. I have seen far too many gunshy champions and far too many that were front end runners that couldn't keep a rabbit going solo to save their own lives.

Hey big dog.
They have to jump and circle and get shot over to Certify as Champs
To Certify as a Grand is differant.

GRAND CHAMPION CERTIFICATION
The running rules for certification of grand champion will be under the same guidelines as champion except for the additional rules, which follow.
One judge will be the lead judge and will instruct the other judges as to starting and stopping of their stopwatches.
There must be two stopwatches used in the certification of a grand champion to be sure that the time is correct. The judge going with the hound will keep the stop watch for the running time and another judge will keep the time for the 4 minute rule on strikes and also the 3 minute rule on breakdowns and the lead judge will keep the hour running time on a regular watch or stop watch if they prefer.
The hound must run a rabbit for 20 minutes out of the one-hour time limit, in the event of a break down in the track a stopwatch must be used at this time because this time does not count toward running time. In the event of a loss of the track and the loss occurs for as much as three minutes then a dead track is called and the hound moved and started over again on another rabbit if time permits.
The time limit does not have to be on the same rabbit the time is accumulated to make up the 20 minutes and it can be on different rabbits, this time must be recorded by the certification judge to make sure it is correct. If the run has continued and is in progress when the judge keeping the cast time announces that the cast time has expired, the hound will be allowed to continue under the applicable rules until it either passes or fails the test.
In the event that a rabbit is not produced within 41 minutes from the time the hound is cast then the testing is concluded and the hound failed the test,
All published rules apply will this certification. No score will be kept except for scoring of minus points.

i would rather have an akc champion in my kennel because it seems to get more respect when it comes to breeding.

I've only run AKC and CKC (Canadian) and a few UKC trials. No ARHA within 2 days drive of here. I'll have to go with AKC or CKC simply because of the century long history of field trialing within these closely associated registries, but as Mybeagles said above, International Field Champion (not really a title) is the ultimate.
