How big of an above-ground run do you want? Here is a photo of one that I built 2 years ago and still in use. It is 4' wide by 10' long, including the 2' box on the end.

Here is a picture of it from the rear. I hinged the roof on the box for easy access to clean out or check in on pups. I also put a removable divider in the box to help keep heat in during winter.

Darrin,

They really look nice. I was dead set on building concrete ground kennels but your setup has changed my mind. About how much would one of them cost to build. I am not a builder so more than likely I will have to have someone do it for me. Thats a great looking set up you have.

Ken, Thanks for the compliment. I would guess that I have about 70 bucks in each kennel. The initial cost was higher but some of the materials went on both kennels, like the roll of welded wire for the fencing. The flooring was the tough thing to find.

Ken,
You can get on http://www.Outdoorlife.com and check there back issues. They had a plan in there that I have used, it looks just like the ones pictured.
