Breeders must approve this in writing. Can be done to hound that has not been bred and has no points toward it's championship. One time trip only.

Can you elaborate a little bit on what exactly your talking about. Are you saying AKC will let you change a dogs name?
Once upon a time, a man asked a girl " Will you marry me?" The girl said " NO." and the guy lived happily ever after and ran his dogs as much as he wanted to.

Chris, starting June 1, AKC will grant a name change to hounds one time only. There are several stipulations to the name change. As in the above post: 1. A hound must have no AKC points.
2. They have never had a litter of pups or studed.
3. The breeder of the hound was the person who named the hound
and must give consent to change its name.
I think there are several others, but AKC will be more than welcome to answer your questions in full.

That sounds great, but I can't find where AKC mentions it anywhere on thier website. I don't doubt what you say, AKC probably hasn't updated thier site yet, but when did this come out and where did you get your information from?

EVERYTHING cost MONEY today... The breeder will have to cooperate and agree to do it.

I'm sure it will cost a transfere fee.But there are several stipulations to all this. You need to call AKC to get it all.But here is some of it.The dog can't
have any points in a AKC trail, never sired or whelped, still in breeders name and he must agree in writing to the change. I'd say you won't see it on AKC website that just my opion.
