Sensitive Stomach?? Any Suggestions???

I have a nice young male that has an ongoing issue. He is too nice not to try and correct this problem. He CONTINUALLY has loose stools! He is wormed regularly, Safeguard and Ivomec. He is fed regularly with Black Gold and is still producing loose stools. He looks good, acts good, and in no way appears distressed or ill. I have even went as far as to feed him twice a day in smaller portions to see if this helps.

Are there, is there any feed out there for a dog who has a sensitive stomach that is reasonable. He is in a Senecca Kennel, not being over fed and he is healthy. I cannot figure him out on this?? Like I said, it would be a mess if he was in a ground kennel. He has been on Black Gold for an extended period and previously was at my brother's farm for a while and did the same thing. He feeds the pretty good quality Sam's Club feed, the upper end stuff for them.

ANY suggestions greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you!!

I would have him checked by a Vet. It may possibly be a nerve condition brought on by stress or hyoeracrivity. Or perhaps Coccida or Giardi. Both being effecting the interstine causing loose fowl smelling stools. My Vet tells me that there is a small window of opportunity to reverse these problems while in the acute stage, other wise, they become cronic and irreversable.

Try feeding purina smart blend chicken and rice you feed half of what you would in the black gold and it will tighten him up

Have the exact same problem. Gave mine a special antibiotic but didn't help. He is a year old and is fed absolutely the best food but still his stool is loose and stinky.

This young dog is healthy, full of energy and a ball of fire. I wonder if it is a nervous condition of some sort? I just don't know. I am going to try less feed and a higher quality to see if this helps, we'll see??

BC,
I have mixed in rice with my dogs food to correct this and then slowly went back to their regular food once they stop having problems. Just cook up a batch and keep it in the firdge, then heat some up to mix in there dish at meal time. If you realy want to spoil him put some cheese in also. :D I buy lamb and rice Kirkland dog food as this seems to work best for my dogs stomachs.

If you are running in the heat that could be part of the problem also.

Good Luck.

Take him off dog food entirely, feed him cooked rice for about 3 to 4 days then put him on Salmon dog food purina makes it Red Bag if I remember right slowly mix it with the rice until at full Salmon dog food, then once stool is solid switch slowly over a weeks time to lamb and rice dog food. The Salmon dog food will get his enzymes back. We have a dog with a sensitive stomach and this is what the vet recommended to us cause of the same thing worked now he is on regular dog food.
From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be

I tried what the gentleman posted above and it worked like a charm.
I have since just given a dog with those symptoms canned salmon and it also had good results.
