Easter Turkey

Killed this bird yesterday morning around 10:30. Where I have been hunting seems the birds are henned up and quiet until late morning to midday and then they will gobble. Had 2 birds coming and this one made it to me first. I would say this bird is 2 or 2 and a half years old he weighed around 18 pounds with a 8 inch beard and 3/4ths inch spurs, not the biggest but he will grill nicely.

Nice!! My 7 yr. old little boy killed his first one in our youth season Saturday! We heard about 6-7 different birds and they gobbled a lot for here in WV. They don't seem to be henned up as usual by this time. I hope to get my little girl out next Saturday to try and get one!
