How many women beaglers are there out there? I've been watching the boards for a while; even made some posts under my husband's (this) handle. When my husband and father got their first beagles, I tagged along because I love dogs. Watching them run is so addicting, I'm considering getting my hunting license this fall just for rabbit hunting. Last weekend, I picked up my own first pup from Chris Wells and can't wait to get her started. Are there any other women out there who enjoy the sport as much as I do?

Diane,
Congrats on the pup! I too have loved dogs and hunting all my life and just got into into beagles less than two years ago. I just got my second beagle six months ago and enjoyed starting her this spring.
My sister thinks I'm crazy for spending so much time out in the woods, but I couldn't imagine doing anything else!

my wife has been beagling about eight year,s now, she goe,s every time i go , she love,s the sport, she has two dog,s of her own, she is the best hunting buddy i,ve ever had.

My wife both runs with me and hunts with me. She loves working the dogs, and often runs them on her own. We couldn't imagine a better hobby than beagling.

My wife is my running Buddy and a very good and reliable one at that. She really loves handling the hounds and is simple thrilled to no end when a pup first opens on it's own track or harks in to the pack for the first time. She knows the dogs by their mouths as well as I do. It is SUPER nice to have a mate who, both, enjoys and encourages Beagling.
