Do a search on this board about fighting. There was a thread a while ago that Bev gave some great info on.

if they are kenneld togather and they are fightin then good luck gettin them to quit, some male dogs are good natureed don't mind being kenneled with other dogs but if they are fightin then they probally won't stop, but i would not shock them when they start fightin,i did that one time when two males of mine caught a rabbit and was fightin over it and when i shocked them they started fightin worse,AND IF U THINK A DOG FIGHT CAN'T GET WORSE JUST WATCH IT WHEN U SHOCK THEM.....it goe's from a beagle fight to a PITT BULL fight

Put a barking collar on them and turn it to 4 soon as they growl or bark it will light them up i I have the dogtra collars, the ones you buy in walmart are not big enough .

I wouldn't kennel males together. I've had a couple you probally could have but... I wouldn't hold my breath on it. If they are fighting now, good luck getting them to stop.

Doesn't take but a minute or two to make a gentleman out of them both.

Someone to hold them one at a time and a razor or sharp knife.

Some kerosene, sulphur and vicks salve or tar mixed together to put on it afterwards.

Unless they are going to be used as a stud, why not?

I have seen this many times... one will break and stop challenging. You will have scuffles from time to time.. but they will establish a pack mentality if together long enough and one will be the alpha. They don't always need our help.. nature will settle the score. I have seen 8 males that run together kenneled together all the time.. they all know thier place.

I use to use pig bands on them... it stopped alot of bs.. but wouldnt do it now. back when I use to do it it was with the 50 back yard Freds...lol

One, I wouldn't kennel the two males together. Two, I would try what Alabama John suggested and nut em and see if that takes some of the aggresion out of the equation. You say you don't want to castrate them. Why? I wouldn't breed a fighting male for anything as I consider it just as big a fault if not bigger than most of the faults that beaglers complain about on this board regularly.
I kept tree dogs for 21 years and I would not tolerate a tree fighter.I've buried several that would fight another dog at the tree.
I can tell you from experience if you breed hounds that are bad to scrap with other hounds whether it be in the kennel,in the dog box, over dead rabbits, etc. you CAN produce more of the same.

Everyone has given good advice but I want to add this. I kennel my males together but I have had a few that just plain did not get along. When this happens I decide which one is the trouble maker and send him down the road. I HATE kennel fighting on any kind of a regular basis and I will not tolerate it. If they cannot be broken from the habit, and most that tend to fight can't, then they need to go because I'm not gonna do a bunch of fancy kenneling just to keep a dog that causes me a headache. There are lots of people out there that either run just one dog or don't mind having to separate them so I sell/give the dog to someone like that. And I honestly wouldn't care if it was the best dog in my kennel it would still go down the road. I don't get along well with a dog that has that type of personality and since I pay the bills I decide who stays and who doesn't. If you can deal with it then more power to you but imo there are too many good dogs out there to have to deal with crap like that.

I hope your divider works. I have that problem now . It is not as bad as it was but every once in a while mine will go at it. I dont shock em because like a previous post said it just ramps up the fight big time. I also had them both fixed, did nothing. They were already older than 2 yrs and had that hardheaded male attitude. During a fight I find the best way to break it up is to take a metal garbage pail lid and drop it on the concrete floor next to them. scares the heck outta them. I try to keep them away from each other, they arent in tight confines like a kennel together, they are in my basement. It does suck though when you get two dogs that dont like each other and you dont want to get rid of either. Good luck
