Hi Brian,
Only advice I can give is, we put some young bitches in with an old bitch to get them away from the males. She started riding them and the next week started bleeding herself. This works alot of times to pull one in season

...Best of luck...Patch

my 2 cents the shot you are talking about. I don't remember the name of it but it is only good if you miss her heat cycle and you give her the shot a day or two after she is out and it will bring her back in but she has to be just a coupl of days out. That is the only shot i have ever experienced with never heard of a shot to bring them in out of the cold. If you find out there is a such shot please post the name of it so we all have the info.

Brian, if you have had your fill of people telling you that a dog that old should never be bred, I have some info for you. More than likely she has a hormonal imbalance. Not all that uncommon for dogs that are not bred in their early years. I have bred many females at 8-12 years of age and had 8-10 pups in the litter, and raised them all. This might help out. Go to this site.
http://www.lambriarvetsupply.com look at the reproductive aids. You are looking for "Breed Heat" #015TL21-1 16oz--$9.95 This will regulate her cycle. Also look for "Liquid Love" #015TL08-1 1oz--$7.95 give her 2-3ml twice a day after a few weeks of the Breed Heat. Continue both until she is bred then use the Breed Heat for another couple of weeks. Also look at the "Bitch Pills" #015TL01-60 $7.85 for 60 pills. These will help her body break down and store needed nutrients as reserve. These will get her through the prenancy in great shape. It sounds like a lot but it does work and the pups will be worth it. Contact me if you have any questions

I always use some scented candles, massage oils and some Barry White on the CD player. Brings them right in.

I have had good luck with wheat grem oil. Put it on there dog food or in there mouth. If that don't work I'd change her dog food. Chad
