i know his son wont the nationals 2 times i have a grand pup out of him this is as well rounded level headed dog as any she has all the tools. she is a full 15 inch bitch. she is easy on the eyes and her first year on snow she has taken to it exceptionaly nice. most hound stugle in these type of conditions at her age. hell at any age. i have killed a easy 30 rabbits to her now as she soloed them, and i was able to start her with the big fast 15 inch hounds. witch is a lot for a pup to handle.

i could not be more happy with a young dog. it is showing the constanctancy of the reproducing power of these dogs

ps as far as gator dogs i would have to say trails is the cream of the crop, and the ONLY WAY TO GO

I have a grandpup to Gator. Good line control. He is always busy in the brush but not a bedjumper. Close in the check.

I raised Gator, but sold him as a pup. John Dewyse in Michigan finished him & he loved Gator; said he was the only dog he ever had to catch a hare while soloing on snow ( took 7 hours). If Gator was anything like his littermate sister FC Wells' Silver Spring, he had a ton of hunt & line control & produced it as well. Gator has produced numerous FC's in northern Michigan, but I haven't seen any of them run. They say Trials ( Gator' first FC) had amazing line control, but lacked some hunt. I would say a good source that has seen several of the Gator hounds run would be Dan Johnson. He is on this board from time to time.

Trying to name Gator's AKC FC's : IFC Riley's Rolling Trails, FC Townlines Honey Bea, FC Big Creek Nice Cream, FC Cedar Beck Oliver.... I know there are a few more, but I can't remember them right now. I think there were 3 in one litter.

I seen all dogs mentioned above. I bred to Gator twice. If he were alive today I would breed all my females to him! Im breeding a female to Oliver this weekend. I also have grandpups to Gator threw my Gator x FC Drama Queen male and a Primetime bitch. Gator dogs a very easy to start, put them around rabbits and there started. Smart and very level headed, they run a tight line with good speed. I can run mine day after day, endless bottom. Gator produced with line breeding or total outcrosses. I got a bitch out of Gator two years old with 2 wins, one on snow and one on sod. I got another with many places at 2 years. There is others on the circut with wins and places. He definately would have been a producing legend if he would have had a few more years of breeding.
