I had a collar do the exact same thing. I called tri tronics they said to try charging and it still would not mate up. I will have to send it back and see what they say.

This seems to be becoming a very common problem as of late with tri tronics systems. I have used tri tronics systems as long as i can remember but I have been fed up with there product and especially there customer service. I have just bought the new sportdog unit with the small collars. It is a two mile sytem that is alot cheaper and has even smaller collars than the g3 of tri tronics. I just got it yesterday and like what i see so far. If it is even equally as good as tri tronics then i will only own sportdog from now on. Im pretty sure it will be lots better I dont see how it can be worse than tri tronics!!! Get in touch with golden acres he can get you set up for a good price.

Try fully charging the transmitter then pull the battery out of the collar let it sit for a few minutes then put the bat back in and give it a try. It worked for one of mine.

Ill try that tomorrow,if it dont work i guess ill call tritronics and see if the collar is still under warrenty. If its not i may send it to The Collar Clinic instead of Tri Tronics and see how that works out.Last couple of times i called TT with problems it seemed i knew more than the service folks.Guess time will tell!! :mad2:

I have had one collar quit working and now my other collar only shocks on level one when it wants too.. Im fed up with tri-tronics.. My buddy just got the sportdog 3225 from goldenacres and that is a super nice unit. I will be switching to sportdog soon.

I just sent 3 collars back to Tri-Tronics each with a different problem. In the last year I have had to send back 2 transmitters and 7 collars. I use my collars a lot, but it really is getting ridiculous. They are good about replacing broken equipment, but trying to use such unreliable products is definitely an aggravation. And, I can't help but think about how it will be when they are out of warranty.

You fellas that are having issues which units do you have and when did you get them? The reason I ask is I bought a G3 Trashbreaker brand new late this past spring so mine aren't quite a year old yet. I'm wondering were most of the issues with units that were bought before I got mine and they have since fixed the issues??? Are they different units altogether??? Are mine just not old enough yet and should I be looking forward to problems in the near future??? Or have I just plain been lucky with mine???

Talked with TT today, collar just went out of warrenty.Repair would be 60 bucks + shipping.Collar clinic was 69 + shipping. Both 3-5 day turnaround + time in transit.I have decided to get a new collar with another 2 year warrenty. The repair has a warrenty that is short but with my history with TT I think it would be wiser to spend the extra and have 2 years warrenty. If i get a repair it may have another problem soon as the short repair warrenty goes out.Plus shipping charges and the inconvenience of downtime adds up quick!!!
