I used to use Safeguard, and all my dogs started climbing on logs. I think it is from the Squirrel Tape worms. I switched to Drontal Plus and it cured the problem!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen dogs doing this. They were running squirrels.

saw a rabbit run up a log just like that last year just dumb founded my dogs but was fun to watch.

I have a female that does the same thing and she got the check one day at Kyker Bottoms. we seen the rabbit but could not get a clear shot. It run under a fallen tree then seen it running out the trunk of the tree. She came in and done the same and continued the race. Rabbits will run out the trunk of a fallen tree to get rid of the dogs sometimes.

Swampers will do it all the time,makes it intresting to see how they react.

Hey Chuck, yeah i learned alot about those swampers in La. They like to keep their bottom dry by sitting atop the stumps or logs, easiest way to check for rabbit in the area is to look on the stumps or fallen trees, as that's where they'll do their business and leave their calling cards...
That one being so out in the open tho,...may have been where Rocky was sitting watching BullWinkle try an pull a rabbit out of his hat...

When there are logs and a bunch of thickets piled into one, my hound will get on top of it, then try to crawl down in the middle of it!!!

I have a blue tick that does the exact same thing! She was 11' up a tree that had fallen against another tree just two weeks ago. I told her to get her a$$ down and she started coming back. When she was still about 6' up she jumped down! Talk about my heart missing a couple beats. But, luckily, she didn't injure herself.

Crabby a good tree dog is worth a lot of money. LOL

Had a female see a swamper go in a holler tree that little hefer climbed 20 foot in the tree looked down the holler in and fell in the center of the tree we had to cut the tree down to get her out she killed the rabbit tho lol

This rabbit ran all the way down the log turned around and went halfway back and jumped off. Gave the dogs fits for a while.

You went from Safeguard to Dontal Plus. I switched to treeguard and the problem went away within a few trees.

thas funny crap....crabtree!
