Today we hit the woods again for some fast pace rabbit chasing action. Dogs lit up the woods big time today. So far since my time off from work the dogs have had roughly 40hrs of ground time. They still seem like they can push a rabbit hard. Got one dog I've not taken along a few times giving him some rest but the others have gone everytime.

For those of you that want to know how we get all these rabbits. well take a look at the video I have made. That'll answer all your questions. Its not me.... its the dogs. Take a listen to them hounds running those rabbits as hard as they can bringing them around to the gun. See for yourself.

We were in rabbits all day long today. Jump after jump till both guns on the ground had their limits and we went on home. As a treat we shot a couple quail. I like shooting quail its alot of fun. They are one of the best birds to eat if you ask me. I've collected a few and now have enough to make a nice sized meal.

I have never hunted this area before. First time we have hunted this spot. I knew it was always there but never tried to hunt it. I don't think we'll go back till next year. We jumped more than killed. About 4 or so got away from us and no telling what we didn't jump.

this is what it looked like where we did some hunting at. Didn't get any pics of the thick woods we were hunting you'll see that in the video.

Rabbits and birds do love them bean fields...

missiouri consevation just said joey and his pack of beagles r the states top predators for rabbits.lol. keep the pics comin i look forward to them every monday morning. i just wish i could get in the bunnies you do semo hunting not near as good as were you are or my hounds cant find them like yours can

joey good video. what kind of gun do you use? im in ne texas and it dont get that cold here. was wondering if you have promblems with your guns freezing up.

Alright joeyman, it's on now!!! I just got permission on a pretty promising looking spot this afternoon. I'm gonna round up the guns and go see what we can do...........as soon as Ron can get some time off work that is.

Or maybe I'll just have to go check it out by myself later this week.

Seriously though there were tons of tracks and pellets in the section I did walk into so if the rest is as good as that part looks then we should have another good spot for bunnies.
