12/4/10 Hare Hunt in the U.P.

Post by BuschBound »

Image

A group of local hunters and one from the Detroit area met up together for the first hunt of the year. in attendance was myself holding Humdinger. Nick Juncaj holding Paw-King. Jason Saari, Butch Saari holding Capt. Jack and Jerry Moren whose dog didnt make it into the photo. Lola, Joe Kuklenski who is on the camera. was with us and just came for the good running. Dogs ran pretty steady all day with a few split packs and every so often they'd go out of hearing distance. Very fast running with plenty of good ole fashion hound work in the new snow. Yep you guys were right this picture would make it to the board!!! haha

Bryan, The truck is parked on a power line right of way in the middle of nowhere and you are right. I never seen Martin in the woods.

Bryan, I didnt get any hare because Butch is a CUT-OFF artist. He also has trained his son Jason well too... It will be good eating in the Saari house hold this winter...I think the Saari's got all but one of the hare shot and that was because the dogs went out about a mile and Butch and Jason couldnt get back down the hill fast enough. I think I'm taking Butch this year in the annual rabbit hunt as a partner but Joe I'd like you to take him home after the hunt...

Falling in the ditch does not count as getting off the road.....Also, did Bush drive up there and catch your dog?
