This is the deer I got Opening morning at 7:35a.m. I saw a nice buck following 3 does in the woods. They were walking at a slow pace. I waited till I had a clear shot and took one out. Enjoy this video I made showing how it all took place after the shot.
Yeah here in ohio even if they have spots you cant put all that stuff in a wheel barrell with them.Should be some good eating though. Why didnt you gut it where you killed it then it would have been 30 pounds less to drag?

because my brother was hunting in that general area so I didnt want to leave the guts there. Some people say it doesn't matter some say gut it elsewhere. So I chose to gut it near the truck instead.

good job joey i never gut mine were i'm huntin either,i wish kentucky had them wide open woods like you got there, most of the woods in ky has really bad under groth and your lucky to see 50 yards in any direction.congrats
Joey, now that you got the hang of that deer hunting, you ought to pile them up on the tailgate lol. For those of you that don't know,in Mo. we can buy unlimited doe tags in most counties. Best size for eating Joey.Congrats.
Hey joeyman, I love all your videos and you sure do a good job of putting them together. Another thing I wanna say is it takes a good honest guy to not squeeze the trigger on a nice buck like the one you saw and didn't shoot. To guys like you and me it's just what you were supposed to do but a lot of fellas would've shot it anyway.........I know cause I've had to deal with fellas like that before. Talking about it is one thing........not squeezing the trigger when the time comes is another. Glad to see you got your deer and glad you had a good time again. It's a whole lot different than bunny hunting but it still equals time spent in the woods and you can't beat that. Probably a nice little change of pace for you too.

It was a nice break from rabbit hunting. I needed a break too. But ahhh i'm thinking hounds will be on the ground this weekend...lol I'll be somewhere out in a field saturday morning. My dogs have been locked up and bouncing around wanting out. They want to run.
