We had a nice little rabbit hunt sunday. Hunted a place that I knew about but never really gave it a good try. So I figured why not might as well give it a shot. We were in rabbits entire time. Didn't take very long to get another going after one was shot.
Also a deer was spooked out in her bedding area my lightning dog was sniffin where it was but she walked away from it. I was watching her closely to see what she'd do. she left it alone. That was nice to see.
On the way home I found a killer looking farm I would like to hunt. Next time I'm up that way I'll have to start knocking on doors to see if I can't get on that farm. I would think it holds lots of rabbits just from the way it was set up.
Here is footage from the days hunt and don't pay attention to anything that weirdo was saying towards middle of the video.....

I was able to bag 4 rabbits and the one squirrel

Why was it that we only saw your dogs laying around but we could hear alot of someone elses dogs off in the background running the heck out of some rabbits? Seems you should have gone over and hunted with them other dogs that were making all that noise.
Looks like you had some good hunting.

a few were fair sized buck rabbits i'd have to say. and boy did they like to run. the one rabbit I killed when I was vlogging about it. that dude ran to the wood line by the time I got there it went down to the right and kept trucking. so i sat myself on a old tree stump and waited and waited and waited. No one else ever fired a shot dogs kept hammering finally it came back and I shot it sitting on the tree stump. it ran right to me

I'll try harder next time to get the dogs running thru the brush. it's kinda hard sometimes cause its so thick and I'm not going to run after the dogs....lol and most times the camera is shut off cause i'm trying to shoot the rabbit.
One of these days i'm going to get my little Daisy on film working her magic at brushpile hunting.

Joey,
watch this video a few times then go shoot you a few squirrels. It will take you four or five to get the hang of it and find out right where to make the cuts and how far to take each cut. This is how the old man that I hunt with taught me and I found this link not long ago. Once you get it down you can do them just as fast as the ol boy in the video. I love to rabbit hunt but I would much rather eat a squirrel. Good luck.
