I've owned beagles since 1969 and have never given them a Parvo shot after five months. I have never owned one that had Parvo after six months of age. I know a local beagler whose litter of five developed Parvo at about 7-9 months and he lost one. I don't know if they were vaccinated by a Vet or if he bought it at the local feed store. Back in the 70's-80's I had a few that died from Parvo at about 3-4 months, after they had been vaccinated.

After a certain time between 5-8 months old they develope thier own ammunity to fight off viruses the only reason you give a pup vac shots is thier ammunity is low just like people after babies recieve thier vacine shots we dont keep giving them shots the rest of thier life

In 20 plus years raising my own bloodlines I have never given a shot after 6 months old and never had a problem. It probably wont hurt but unnecessary. After they are weaned they get one and a follow up a few weeks later.

I don't know if it's necessary or not but for the $5.00 I'd rather be safe than sorry. I gotta believe the odds of a dog contracting rabies isn't all that great of a percentage either but I give them those shots just to be safe too.

I agree bunnyblaster for the price of a shot its not worth the risk.I also give lymes shot each year, first year its 1 shot and a booster 2 weeks later. They are expensive, but I lost a good dog to lymes last year and swore it wouldnt happen again.

Actually, I don't think that I have ever given a seven way shot. I use five way Fort Doge and haven't had a problem.
