black and tan

Jay,
If you want a strong black and tan bloodline, talk to John Otruba. He has probably one of the best crosses, granppy and black cher. If you are located around new york its the best way to go.

Lewis Long in Ky has FC Rabbit Ridge New York Nick who is by Granppy. I think all Lewis's hounds are out of the Otruba line.

black and tans

Post by Big Dog »

A lot of the Sock it to me bred dogs are black and tan. They hunt good and have good foot, a lot of them come big. The woodpont bloodline owned by Tim Hackworth also features black and tan dogs, they have had good success crossing some show lines into running dogs. They are some of the best looking dogs that I have seen. I have not seen them run but understand that they are medium fast to fast with good control. They are normally 14 to 15 inch dogs. Don bramlett has his own line of Black and tAns in Kentucky that he has bred for years. They range from upper medium speed to medium fast with good nose and bottom. They are very hard hunting dogs also. I own one of them. There are also some Black and tans out of the Northway breeding. If you get dogs heavy with Northway Ninja in their pedigree you will get some black and tans. Paul Kormony in NY owns Northway Kennels and Dexter Reffett in Kentucky also breeds this line of dog. He has at least 2 black and tan studs out of Ninja breeding Now. REffett's Kentucky mtn Hunter and Reffet's Kentucky mtn Black Magic. I am booking a pup out of magic. As others have said FC Rabbit Ridge NY Nick is Grampy breeding and throws some black and tans. Don Potts owns a black and tan little male by the name of Tyson's Picking Banjo that I have heard good things about. Hope this helps. I have 4 black and tan pups out of the line of dogs that I run on the ground as of this morning, unfortunately they are all booked. This line of dogs has done well in ARHA Little Pack with 3 Hall of famers out of the same cross.

Hey Blackdirt

You have some really nice black and tans. I would like for you to get ahold of me when you run across or have a black and tan that is running or lightly started because i would like to add another good black and tan to my kennel I would be wanting to spend 200 to 300 on a really good black and tan that i could trial and hunt. I would prefer a male black and tan.

Thanks Blackdirt

Jay
